Who should choose Home & Business
If you need Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote, that is the complete Office toolkit without a database program, then Home & Business is exactly right. Most private purchases go to this edition.
Standard contains the same programs as Home & Business; the difference does not lie in the range of features. You only need Professional Plus if you use Access for your own databases. Publisher is no longer included in any edition since Office 2024, and Microsoft is discontinuing the program in October 2026.
