What a Microsoft audit actually checks
A software audit, often carried out by the Business Software Alliance, compares the software actually installed against the available proof of licences. Three things are checked three things: how many installations there are, which edition per workstation, and whether proof of purchase exists for each one.
The key point: in the vast majority of cases, proof of purchase only requires a proper invoice showing VAT. We provide this with every order as a PDF in Swiss format. If an audit process requires further evidence beyond that, we supply additional documentation as needed. How we source licences is explained on our page on licence origin.
