What to clarify when buying Office for business
- Number of licences. An Office perpetual licence covers one workstation. For ten workstations you need ten licences.
- Edition per workstation. Home and Business for the core apps including Outlook, Standard with Publisher and OneNote, Professional Plus with Access. Not every workstation needs the same edition.
- Volume discount. Tiered from 2 licences per order, with individual terms for larger quantities.
- Proof of purchase. One VAT invoice per order, in the Swiss format, for accounting and a possible audit.
A perpetual licence as a predictable company investment
For companies, Office perpetual licences are a one-time investment. Unlike a subscription, there are no ongoing monthly costs, and the licence belongs to the company. This makes budget planning easier and avoids a permanent subscription item in your cost accounting.
Before a larger order it is worth having a brief consultation. We will review with you which edition each workstation really needs. This often helps avoid buying the most expensive edition for everyone across the board, even though most workstations would do fine with a smaller edition.
